The Gynaecological Oncology Department at the Royal Surrey County Hospital NHS Foundation Trust takes great pleasure in welcoming you to the Minimal Access Therapy Training Unit (MATTU) for the Advanced Course in Robotic Gynaecological Surgery on the 30th of November 2024. The advanced course is endorsed by the British and Irish Association of Robotic Gynaecological Surgeons (BIARGS), The Society of European Robotic Gynaecological Surgery (SERGS) and sponsored by Intuitive Robotics. This 1-day advanced robotics Programme is aimed at gynaecological surgeons with experience in robotic surgery who wish to progress to intermediate or advanced robotic gynaecological surgery. It aims to improve the knowledge and skills of surgeons in advanced robotic gynaecological surgery through demonstrations of decision-making, surgical tips and tricks, complications management, and training pathways.

This is an intensive 2 day course designed to provide essential foundational knowledge and hands-on experience in key surgical skills areas such as suturing, knot tying and tissue handling. This course is particularly relevant to trainees interested in a surgical career, though it is open to a diverse audience of health professionals. This course is suitable for FY1-2 and CT 1-2. It is also open to Surgical Care Practiotioners,surgical first assistants and anyone in training for those roles
