MATTU (Minimal Access Therapy Training Unit) was founded in 1995. It is located in the University of Surrey and run in close conjunction with Royal Surrey County Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. It has been accredited as an international centre of excellence for telesurgery.
The MATTU boasts State of the Art Technology including live linking to operating theatre, laparoscopic and robotic simulation suites and refurbished presentation rooms.
The MATTU has Royal College of Surgeons accreditation to run all the College courses. Additionally specialists run courses in Colorectal, Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary, Oesopha-gastric, Gynaecological and Orthopaedic Surgery.

For the first time, it will be combined with a one day Basic Rhinoplasty Dissection day to form a 3 day Guildford Rhinology Course.
The format will consist of lectures, but the emphasis will be on maximum dissection time, as we know from previous course feedback that this is what delegates value most.
